Title: Call for Papers: Sociocultural Theory and Second Language Learning Working Group
Body:

From http://linguistlist.org/issues/25/25-2647.html

The XXI annual SCT & SLL Research Working Group Meeting will be sponsored by the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures of the University of Miami (Florida). It will take place November 6-8, 2014.

Call Deadline: 15-Jul-2014

The Sociocultural Theory and Second Language Learning Working Group is comprised of scholars from all over the world who share a common interest in sociocultural theory and language learning. Once a year the group comes together to discuss our understandings of Vygotsky's works and their applications to second language learning. This working group differs from traditional conferences in that the presentation of completed work is discouraged. Instead participants present their works in progress and expect to receive feedback from their peers.

Body:

From http://www.endangeredlanguagefund.org/native_voices.php

The Endangered Language Fund will once again be managing and distributing grants through the Native Voices Endowment: A Lewis & Clark Expedition Bicentennial Legacy. Grants are available for work on documentation and revitalization of the languages of these tribes. Principal Investigators must be enrolled tribal members or employees of tribal colleges. Scholarships for academic work in linguistics or the Native language, or for Master/Apprentice programs, are also available for tribal members.

The application deadline for the next round of annual Native Voices proposals will be October 15, 2014.
