Title: TPRS Coaching and Learning Seminar for German Teachers
Body: From http://www.aatg.org/content/view/468/34 July 27-August 1, 2007 TPRS Coaching and Learning Seminar at Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Virginia Description: TPRS is a method that is revitalizing German programs. Come learn how to use TPRS in your classroom or improve your TPRS skills. This workshop is taught by Julie Baird (Wawasee High School, Syracuse, IN), Rob Williams (Fairfax High School, Fairfax, VA), and Hank Schwab (North Brunswick Township High School, New Brunswick, NJ), three respected German TPRSers. They are assisted by Kellye Deane (Gretna High School, Gretna, NE) and Julie Schonauer (New Philadelphia High School, New Philadelphia, OH). The workshop is arranged with a combination of break-out sessions and whole group instruction to cover the needs of beginners through experienced TPRS teachersuction. All participants will experience learning Japanese through TPRS. Apply between January 1 through April 15; rolling review of admissions begins when application is received and continues until all places are filled. Early applications are encouraged. Body: From http://www.aatg.org/content/view/486/1 "Switzerland in Sight" is a brand new 95-page brochure published by Presence Switzerland which features Switzerland in all its diversity, both in its traditions and as a modern state. Abundantly illustrated, it provides a comprehensive overview of Switzerland's geographical and social texture, its political structure, its economic achievements, and its scientific, educational and cultural aspects. It is designed primarily for high school when ordered in English or, if ordered in German, for high school or college. "Switzerland in Sight" can be ordered in classroom sets of 10 plus a teacher manual which provides ideas for use in the classroom.
