The 27th annual Stabilizing Indigenous Languages Symposium will be held June 25-27, 2020 at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada on the lands of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples. The theme is inspired by the Four Directions teachings for understanding health and community from a holistic perspective, encompassing the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. A call has been issued for presentations, posters, workshops, panels, or creative performances in, and around, the Four Directions.

Title: Call: Teaching Students with Special Education Needs

The aim of this conference is to contextualize special education needs within the broader narrative of how the perception of learning challenges affects the quality of therapeutic intervention. It will allow participants to look at the intertwined aspects of neurodiversity, self-esteem, stress, and motivation. Proposals to present are due on February 16, 2020 and may be on any of the topics in the full call. The conference will take place April 4-5, 2020 in Lodz, Poland.
