From La prof caféinée, not only are there some pointers for finding French songs, but more importantly, a wonderful list of activities students can do before listening to a song, while listening, and after listening: https://juliabkoch.wordpress.com/2019/03/04/musique-mardi-oh-the-possibilities/

From Williamson CI & TPRS, music bracket resources for Spanish: https://williamsonci.com/2019/02/22/2019-march-music-madness/

Another musical bracket for Spanish learners is on the Mis Clases Locas blog, along with ideas from past brackets: http://misclaseslocas.blogspot.com/2018/02/mania-musical-de-mujeres-march-music.html

Follow Sra. Chase’s description of a music bracket in her Spanish classes at https://senorachase.com/2019/03/01/locura-de-marzo/

In this version, students choose their favorite books: https://www.theindependent.com/life/youth/newell-students-vote-for-favorite-books-during-global-march-book/article_4051fedc-3c7f-11e9-97c5-af8ed4834d0d.html

Title: Games2Teach Collaboratory
Body:

The Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS) is committed to ongoing pedagogical innovation and teacher support. An outgrowth of this commitment is the Games2Teach Collaboratory, a summer workshop that CASLS will deliver in collaboration with the Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (COERLL) in 2019 and 2021.

This summer’s workshop will take place at the University of Texas at Austin on Thursday, August 1 and Friday, August 2. During the workshop, teachers will experience collaborative, game-oriented play and will learn how to use games to promote language acquisition in their classrooms. When asked about the workshop, CASLS Director Julie Sykes commented, "We are delighted to collaborate with COERLL on the G2T Collaboratory during this LRC grant cycle. We look forward to engaging with teachers to design innovations for their teaching contexts."

If you are interested in attending the workshop, please click https://www.coerll.utexas.edu/coerll/games2teach-2019 for more information.
