Title: Fashion Show Activity
Body: I do the fashion show in one 40-minute period. After we have gone over all the new vocabulary and expressions, I put them into groups of 3 and give each person a role of model, secretary or announcer. They get 10 minutes to prepare 6 sentences about what the model is wearing (items, accessories, color, materials and styles). Then I turn out the light, set up a spot light (an overhead projector will do) and some Shakir music for "ambiance". Each group takes turns going up (the "ham" usually wants to be the model). The announcer narrates. I take digital pictures of the model and print them out afterward. The next day I have them make a poster using the picture and the written description (This activity is optional). It is finished in one period, and the kids love it. Moore, D.
