Title: Job: World Languages Program Supervisor
Body: The Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to join the OSPI team as World Languages Program Supervisor. This critical and innovative full-time position is based in Olympia, Washington and reports to the Social Studies/International Education Program Supervisor for Teaching and Learning. The primary responsibility of this exciting, new position is to provide leadership, guidance and resource development for the state’s K-12 education system focusing on the area of world language instruction and international education. The position will work with the state Social Studies program supervisor to address the needs of K-12 schools and education stakeholders in the area of world language instruction and international education. The Program Supervisor will work with OSPI, ESDs, and individual school districts to identify technical assistance needs and to provide targeted support and guidance for Washington’s 295 school districts for world language instruction and teacher/student exchange programs. This position is critical in order to support school districts that serve students with over 100 home languages that are not English.
