Title: Call for Papers: Instructed Second Language Acquisition
Body:

From https://linguistlist.org/issues/30/30-677.html

Instructed Second Language Acquisition welcomes the submission of papers for Issue 4(1), to be published in May 2020. Researchers are invited to submit their manuscripts by June 30, 2019.

Instructed second language acquisition is a sub-field of second language acquisition which investigates L2 development when the learning processes are influenced, or at least intended to be influenced, by teachers, classmates or pedagogic materials. Research in this area seeks to understand when and how different kinds of instructional intervention have objectively measurable effects on interlanguage development in different populations of learners.

The Journal welcomes quantitative and qualitative research to address the role of external manipulation on second language development. The following types of material for publication are invited:
- Full-length articles (8000 words)
- Short reports and summaries (2000 words)
- Reviews of books and other instructional materials (1000 words)

Title: Call for Papers: Indiana Classical Conference Spring Meeting
Body:

The spring meeting of the Indiana Classical Conference will take place at DePauw University on April 12-13.

The organizers welcome proposals for talks (typically 15 minutes) from teachers and students at all levels. Past speakers have ranged from undergraduate students to graduate students, middle school teachers, high school teachers, and college and university professors. Joint presentations are welcome. They also welcome papers that address a wide array of interests in the ancient world. Past sessions have focused on:

• ancient drama
• archaeology
• the Classical tradition
• epic poetry
• Greek and Latin pedagogy
• religion

It is also the tradition in the spring meeting to reserve one panel for future colleagues to share their research. Thus, the organizers especially welcome proposals from undergraduate and graduate students or recommendations from high school teachers who would like to bring a group of their students to share a particularly interesting project they have worked on.

Please submit proposals by March 1.

Title: Call for Proposals: Second Language Research Forum
Body:

The 2019 Second Language Research Forum will take place September 20-22 at Michigan State University. The goal of SLRF 2019 is to foster dialogue among disciplines within Second Language Acquisition (SLA). Since SLA is a relatively young field of scientific inquiry, the SLRF 2019 theme of Advancing Transdisciplinary Research places specific emphasis on diversity and bringing together different disciplines, approaches, and methodologies.

Special consideration will be given to those proposals that are transdisciplinary in nature along with those that employ mixed methods. However, because the theme aims to showcase the importance of considering a variety of approaches to SLA inquiry, we welcome (but are not limited to) submissions in the following areas of research:

• Assessment
• Bilingualism and heritage language learners
• Cognitive, neurocognitive, and psycholinguistic approaches
• Computer-assisted language learning
• Corpus approaches
• Formal approaches
• Identity and ideology
• Instructed SLA
• Phonology/phonetics and oral communication
• Reading and writing
• Research methodology
• Sociolinguistic approaches

The online proposal submission portal is open through March 3, 2019.
