TitleCall for Proposals: Second Language Research Forum
Body

The 2019 Second Language Research Forum will take place September 20-22 at Michigan State University. The goal of SLRF 2019 is to foster dialogue among disciplines within Second Language Acquisition (SLA). Since SLA is a relatively young field of scientific inquiry, the SLRF 2019 theme of Advancing Transdisciplinary Research places specific emphasis on diversity and bringing together different disciplines, approaches, and methodologies.

Special consideration will be given to those proposals that are transdisciplinary in nature along with those that employ mixed methods. However, because the theme aims to showcase the importance of considering a variety of approaches to SLA inquiry, we welcome (but are not limited to) submissions in the following areas of research:

• Assessment
• Bilingualism and heritage language learners
• Cognitive, neurocognitive, and psycholinguistic approaches
• Computer-assisted language learning
• Corpus approaches
• Formal approaches
• Identity and ideology
• Instructed SLA
• Phonology/phonetics and oral communication
• Reading and writing
• Research methodology
• Sociolinguistic approaches

The online proposal submission portal is open through March 3, 2019.
