The American Association of Teachers of Modern Greek is a non-profit organization that supports best practices, innovative technologies, and research in the teaching and learning of Modern Greek. AATMG facilitates networking and collaborations among members, creates opportunities for professional development, and is an advocate of the Modern Greek language education field. AATMG sponsors two meetings yearly, one at the Convention and Expo of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) in November, and another one in April at the National Council of the Less Commonly Taught Languages (NCOLCTL).

Title: Host Schools Sought for Meet-a-German* Event

The German-American Fulbright Commission and the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) invite K-12 schools to host a Meet-a-German* event on October 3rd -- the Day of German Unity -- to kick off Deutschlandjahr USA/ Year of German-American Friendship 2018-19 in their local communities. On October 3rd current and former Fulbrighters will visit schools and engage students in Germany-related, fun, and interactive learning activities focused on contemporary Germany.

Your students can learn about Germany through personal encounters and experience German culture first-hand. Fulbright Germany will connect grant recipients currently in the US and/or American alumni who lived in Germany with you to plan a visit to meet your school's needs. The Meet-a-German* Fulbrighters will be provided with materials for classroom activities, games, and presentations to make your local Meet-a-German* activity a great success.

How to get involved: Be a host! Help us meet our goal to organize a Meet-a-German* event in 500 schools across the USA. Please sign up to participate in our Meet-a-German* program by August 21 by completing this online questionnaire: https://www.surveymonkey.de/r/GNTGNQL
