The Russian Language Program at Cornell University has produced several excellent online resources for learners of Russian. Mini-Videos for Learners of Intermediate Russian consists of 91 excerpts from the comedy show “6 кадров”, accompanied by vocabulary help and transcripts. The Anthrax Diaries is a 30-minute documentary about the Soviet biological weapons program, with transcripts and English translations. Lora’s Dialogs is a beginner’s course with short dialogs (audio recordings), transcripts, grammar notes, and substitution exercises. A Collocational Russian-English Dictionary of the Human Body is an interactive on-line dictionary that lists thousands of phrases for describing the appearance, movements, moods, injuries, etc. of human beings. The Cultural Studies Association of Turkey is pleased to announce the launch of KULTUR-e, a refereed open access journal which will publish scholarly research on cultural studies, as well as work related to the cultures of Turkey and Turks throughout the world. We invite colleagues to submit contributions in written, audial and/or visual form.

KULTUR-e will be published aperiodically, and all published material will remain available online along with commentaries or discussions to be submitted subsequently by readers and viewers.

Notices regarding the content of the published material will be made in bülten (www.kulturad.org/index.php?bulten), the semiannual newsletter of the association; and in “bilimselHaber” (bilimselhaber@kulturad.org), the electronic network of the association, distributed to approximately 1500 recipients.

We have thousands of slides relating to the Classical world and they are available for free for non-commercial, educational, or artistic purposes.
