art/write is a website from at the Unviersity of Arizona that uses seventeen works of art from the University of Arizona Museum of Art's permanent collection to inspire writing among secondary students. The goal of the site is to provide teachers with resources to encourage learners to engage in observation, analysis, critical thinking, and creative thinking related to the works of art at hand. The activities provided on the site align with the Common Cores State Standards and langauge-based curriculums. It is a great resourece for English Langauge Learners and could easily be adapted to other language classrooms as well.
