Title: Call for Paper: Special Issue on Flipped Learning in a Foreign Language Environment
Body:

Calls for Papers (special): International Journal of Computer-Assisted Language Learning and Teaching (IJCALLT)
Special Issue On: Flipped Learning in a Foreign Language Environment

Flipped learning has received much attention and has proven to be a successful approach to teaching over a wide range of subjects in the past few years. In the field of second language acquisition, there have been numerous publications related to the practice of using the flipped learning approach. However, there is still an insufficient number of articles with scientific backing on the effects of the flipped learning approach. In this special issue of IJCALLT, the editors aim to fill this gap by giving researchers an opportunity to share studies on the effects of the flipped learning approach in Foreign Language Environments.

Topics to be discussed in this special issue include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Flipped learning in language teaching and learning
• Flipped learning and second language acquisition
• Closed captions in videos for flipped learning
• The effects of flipped learning on L2 learning motivation
• Assessment in the flipped classroom
• Flipped learning and mastery
• In-class flipping
• The role of technology in the flipped classroom
• Flipped learning in teacher education
• Flipped learning in task-based language learning

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers for this special issue on Flipped Learning in a Foreign Language Environment on or before November 11th, 2017.
