In this TEQ video, you can watch the Chinese language teacher Yuan Zhao’s 11th-grade Chinese class at the Mamaroneck High School, New York. This video, "Looking at the Photos of a Past Trip," is an instructional activity to introduce and practice a sentence structure for talking about a past event. The Chinese teacher did this whole activity in context using target language - Chinese. The teacher has demonstrated how to teach Chinese grammar in context without using English. You will see that the students were gaining accuracy in using the new structure for talking about photos.
