The Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS) is committed to ongoing pedagogical innovation and teacher support. An outgrowth of this commitment is the Games2Teach Collaboratory, a summer workshop that CASLS will deliver in collaboration with the Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (COERLL) in 2019 and 2021.

This summer’s workshop will take place at the University of Texas at Austin on Thursday, August 1 and Friday, August 2. During the workshop, teachers will experience collaborative, game-oriented play and will learn how to use games to promote language acquisition in their classrooms. When asked about the workshop, CASLS Director Julie Sykes commented, "We are delighted to collaborate with COERLL on the G2T Collaboratory during this LRC grant cycle. We look forward to engaging with teachers to design innovations for their teaching contexts."
