Applications for the summer 2019 Indiana University Language Workshop are being accepted. Since 1950, the Language Workshop has enabled thousands of students and professionals to intensively study languages critical to academic research, economic development, human rights, diplomacy, national security, cultural exchange, scientific advancement, and other global issues. The workshops are open to students (high school 16 and older, graduate, and undergraduate) as well as non-students. Language taught include Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Chinese, Dutch, Estonian, German, Haitian Creole, Hungarian, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Kurdish, Kyrgyz, Latvian, Lithuanian, Mongolian, Pashto, Persian, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Uzbek. The 2019 workshops will take place June 3 through July 28 (with a few exceptions; check details for specific languages). These courses are equivalent to two semesters of language instruction at the college level. 

Applications are due May 7, 2019; numerous scholarships are available with deadlines in January and February 2019.
