Title2 New Web Sites
BodyNCES established the Postsecondary Education Quick Information System
(PEQIS) to collect timely data on focused postsecondary education issues needed for program planning and policy development with a minimum burden on respondents. In addition to obtaining information on emerging issues quickly, PEQIS surveys are also used to assess the feasibility of developing large-scale data collection efforts on a given topic or to supplement other NCES postsecondary surveys. This new web site includes access to many publications in an easy to use web format as well as downloadable data files.

The Fast Response Survey System (FRSS) was designed to meet the data needs of Department of Education analysts, planners, and decision makers when information could not be collected quickly through traditional NCES surveys. Data collected through FRSS surveys are representative at the national level, drawing from a universe that is appropriate for each study. FRSS collects data from local education agencies, public and private elementary and secondary schools, elementary and secondary school teachers and other school staff, as well as other educational organizations and participants. This new web site includes access to many publications in an easy to use web format as well as downloadable data files.
