TitleHow Do I Apply All This Knowledge?
SourceCASLS
Body

The text below is an adapted excerpt from CASLS's module on self-drected learning. Please feel free to use the entire module (or an excerpt) as the learners you work with adapt to new environments for learning. Each section includes various learner resources, including videos and materials to guide and inspire goal articulation, strategy selection, evidence creation and evaluation, and self-reflection.

How do learners apply all this knowledge?

Once learners have done all the necessary preparation, they can start working on their specific goals. There are some important things to consider while doing this, though, so have learners watch the video below to learn more about goal completion and what to pay attention to while they're doing it.

How do learners demonstrate their progress?

While working on their goal, learners will need to create some evidence to demonstrate their progress. The evidence can be so many things like pictures, recordings, or souvenirs, but the most important part is that it is meaningful for them! Make sure the evidence helps them document their goal completion and their growth as a language learner. Check out the following video to learn about what makes quality evidence and what students can do with it.
