Procedure:
- Pre-writing: Work with learners to highlight key features of an online review. They should investigate models online and compare features of different types of reviews.
- Writing: Have learners select one restaurant, movie, or product to review and write a review with the characteristics they identified in the pre-writing phase.
- Peer Review: Have learners work in pairs to give feedback on their partner's review. Emphasis should be placed on content and organization and not micro-level grammar points.
- Revise: Learners revise review based on peer and expert feedback.
- Post-writing: Have learners share their reviews and select the best restaurant, movie, and product from the reviews.
