| Body | From http://www.aatg.org The International Association of Teachers of German (IDV), the Goethe-Institutes USA and AATG invite US students (high school) to participate in the International German Olympics (Internationale Deutscholympiade), taking place in July 2010 – with world-wide participation - in Germany. Two candidates from each participating country will be invited to Hamburg to compete against each other about their knowledge and language competence regarding Germany and German. To give everybody a chance the German Olympics will be conducted on three different levels: Basic (1-2 years of lang. ed.), Independent (3-4 years), Proficient (more than 4 years) Level. Application for this national contest is possible by German teachers for two candidates (16 years or older) only by nomination. Deadline for sending the application forms is September 10, 2009.
