TitleUCLA’s New Language Classroom: Conversations on Teaching and New Media
Body
From http://www.international.ucla.edu/languages/lab/about

The goal of UCLA’s New Language Classroom is to provide a community where language educators can share how they are using technology to promote language learning. It opens classroom doors so visitors can come inside and observe how technology is used in the classroom environment. All the language instructors profiled here aim to expose learners to authentic language as it's spoken in real-world settings. Student interviews are included to explore their thoughts on language learning with new media.

In particular UCLA's New Language Classroom aims to:

* Profile conversations with foreign language instructors who integrate technology in their teaching.
* Showcase projects with a significant technological component and indicate the steps and tools require replicating them.
* Create a community of teachers and scholars interested in the application of emerging technologies to language learning.
* Provide access to unfamiliar language classrooms: What might a Japanese class look like?
* Empower students as learners in the digital age: how do our students use emerging technologies to enhance their language learning?
