3-Day Immersion Workshop for Middle- and High-School German Teachers
June 17-19, 2009
Hagerty Hall on the campus of The Ohio State University
Columbus, OH

The Goethe-Institute Chicago, in collaboration with the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at OSU will hold a Lehrerfortbildungsworkshop for area teachers from 9:00 am-3:30 pm on June 17-19. In this three-day workshop, teachers will work with materials specially developed for the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. The materials can be used alone or to accompany a visit to the traveling educational exhibit: Ikonen einer Grenzanlage, which comes to OSU’s Hagerty Hall Gallery from August 10-September 21, 2009. The exhibit will be free and open to the public.

-meet and exchange with fellow German teachers
-enjoy an immersion experience
-work with ready-made materials; prepare your own materials
-discover and share classroom strategies, work with new technologies
-earn professional development credits: Certificates of Participation available for CEUs
