State of Connecticut, in Conjunction with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, Grants High School Credit for Private World Language Courses

Through taking an Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and the ACTFL Written Proficiency Test (WPT), local and regional boards may award up to four credits toward meeting graduation requirements. In addition to passing the prescribed examination, a student must also complete a world language course offered privately through a non-profit provider.
