Connecticut Schools Identify Teacher Shortages

Want to teach a foreign language in Connecticut? You're in luck.

School districts across the state had the most trouble filling world language teaching positions last year, according to a report on teacher shortages released by the state Department of Education this week.

World languages had the highest percentage of vacancies in the current school year, followed by speech and language pathologist, and K-12 comprehensive special education teachers. Math, science and bilingual teachers also were in demand.
