TitleNNELL Workshop: Meeting the Needs of ALL Learners

NNELL, The National Network for Early Language Learning, is pleased to offer the 2009 Southeast Regional Professional Development Workshop entitled “Meeting the Needs of ALL Learners.” This workshop will be presented by Dr. Marjorie Hall-Haley, the Director of the Foreign/World Languages Teacher Licensure Program at George Mason University, on April 25, 2009 in Fairfax, VA.

Breakout sessions will focus on the following:
• Multiple Intelligences Theory as a part of teaching methods
• Strategies that address the specific needs of young language learners
• Strategies that are developmentally appropriate, interactive, and involve cooperative learning
• Lessons utilizing technology in today’s classroom
• Literacy in the target language
• Integration of content and language instruction
• Middle school transition
• Strategies for heritage/fluent speakers
