TitleCall for Papers: Princeton Japanese Pedagogy Forum 2009

The 16th Princeton Japanese Pedagogy Forum is scheduled for the weekend of May 2 and 3, 2009, on the Princeton University campus.

The main theme of this forum will be "Learning Japanese and Japanese Culture Through Performing Drama." Performance here is meant to be performing a wide range of performances such as role plays, skits, simulations or dramas. The keynote speaker will be Professor Oriza Hirata, noted playwright and professor at Osaka University. Professor Hirata will also offer a workshop on drama on May 3.

Papers are invited that are related to this main theme for both the pre-college and college levels, and for heritage Japanese language and cultural education. Any paper related to Japanese language education in general, including second language acquisition, linguistics, heritage learning, and cultural studies, among others, is also welcome.

The submission deadline is Sunday, March 15, 2009. Accepted papers will be announced around March 30, 2009, and will appear in Proceedings.
