These language spotlights are intended to ignite interest in these languages and to encourage readers to explore them more deeply. The newest in the series is a Spotlight in Spanish, available at http://www.cal.org/resources/discoverlanguages/spanish/index.html . Previous spotlights, have dealt with Russian, Arabic,and Chinese.
