The Asian Studies Program at Franklin and Marshall College invites
applications for a one-year visiting position in Japanese language,
beginning Fall 2004. Responsibilities include teaching Japanese at the first or second year, the third year, and the fourth year levels. The successful candidate must hold an M.A. degree in a field related to language teaching, have knowledge of and experience in Japanese language teaching at the college level, and have native or near-native fluency in Japanese and English. Familiarity with the textbooks Genki (vols. I & II), and Miura & McGloin'sIntermediate Japanese (Chuukyuu no Nihongo) will be helpful.

Candidates should send a letter of application, cv, graduate transcript and three letters of recommendation to JunCheng Liu, Chair, Asian Studies Program, Franklin and Marshall College, P.O. Box 3003, Lancaster, PA 17604-3003. Deadline for applications is December 1, 2003.
