| Body | From http://www.imsregistration.com/actfl/about.html ILR OPI Summit: Testing at L3 and Above June 12-13, 2008 Monterey Marriott Hotel Monterey, CA This two-day Summit on OPI Testing at ILR L3 and above is designed to bring together representatives of government, academic, and private sector testing groups and organizations involved in oral proficiency testing. The focus of the Summit will be to address testing and rating issues at the higher levels of the ILR Scale. This will be accomplished by combining general session presentations with large and small (break-out) discussion groups. Video and audio samples of actual tests of spoken English (OPIs) will be used as the basis for discussion. Topics and themes to be included in the Summit include: • Base and plus level performances at ILR 3 and above • Speaker profiles: second language learner, native speaker, heritage speaker • Testing and rating protocols • Interpretation of the ILR Skill Descriptors Space will be limited.
