The volume will examine research, theory, policy, and practice of issues involved with Teaching Science with Hispanic ELLs in K-16 Classrooms and the preparation of teachers for ELL classroom settings. What is the role of science in helping K-16 students in language learning? What are research based pedagogical practices for effective learning of science by ELL learners? What is the role of the teacher in effective science learning by Hispanic ELLs? What has been the response of teacher education programs to the needs of teaching science in K-16 classrooms with ELLs?
