Title | National American Indian Heritage Month |
Body | From: Jenny S LEE The month of November has been designated National American Indian Heritage Month. In the weeks to come, many events are planned throughout communities across the state to celebrate Native American culture and heritage. Oregon is unique because of Senate Bill 770 that establishes state-tribal relations through open, results-oriented approaches to the working relationships between tribal governments and state agencies. The calendar can be downloaded at: www.healthoregon.org/omh. Vicki Nakashima, DHS Office of Multicultural Health Jenny Lee, DHS, Office of Multicultural Health |
