Diversity in the classroom presents itself in many ways. No two students are alike in terms of their strengths and needs. This increasing diversity is creating challenges for teachers seeking to meet the multifaceted needs of their students. The strategies and techniques presented in this article are by no means exhaustive, but provide a starting point to help you to think about diversity in your classroom, your uniqueness as a teacher, and the strategies that will allow you to build on the diverse strengths, experiences, and backgrounds of your students.
