| Body | From http://www.linguistics.ucsb.edu/faculty/infield InField: Institute on Field Linguistics and Language Documentation Workshops: June 23-July 3, 2008 Field Training: July 7 – August 1, 2008 InField is an opportunity for linguists, graduate students in linguistics, and native speakers of minority languages to receive training in a range of skills needed to document, maintain, and/or revitalize minority languages. InField will be divided into two parts: a two-week session of workshops on a range of topics related to language documentation, maintenance, and revitalization, followed by a four-week session of Field Training, an intensive course similar to a doctoral course on field methods, where students will utilize the skills taught in the workshops.
