| Body | On April 20, from 12-3 there will be a TPRS workshop/meeting for anyone who wishes to attend. You do not need to live in Michigan to come. Fowlerville High School Media Center 700 North Grand Fowlerville MI 48836 Please e-mail Kristy Placido at placido@cablespeed.com if you plan to attend. #1 BEGINNERS to TPRS: There will be a full TPRS beginning workshop presented by Carol Gaab FREE OF CHARGE. Carol will do a demo in a less-commonly spoken language so that you can fully experience what it is like to be a student in a TPRS classroom. She will then explain step by step the process of using TPRS. You can visit Carol online at www.tprstorytelling.com . #2 USERS of TPRS/BEEN TO A WORKSHOP BEFORE: For those of you who have been using TPRS in your classroom and have attended a workshop previously, Mrs. Placido will be speaking about some of the techniques you may now be ready to incorporate and she will also generally discuss creating a language-rich, comprehensible environment in your classes. #3 If you do not wish to attend either workshop but would simply like to meet and chat with other TPRS teachers, there will be space available for you as well. Light refreshments will be provided. Kristy and Carol are requesting that you consider making a donation to the Alta Caymo Mission in Arequipa, Peru in exchange for the training we provide. We suggest a $50 donation, but anything you can afford would be welcome. This organization is very dear to Carol's heart as she was able to spend some time in Arequipa and she saw firsthand the services they provide for families in need.
