An FLTEACH user recently shared a list of 5-minute activities that she writes on index cards for her students to do. Although she generally writes the items in Spanish, they are presented here in English so that teachers of any language can use them.

- Write ten sentences describing what you are wearing today.
- Spell the following words using words that begin with each letter. (example: a as in apple...)
- Write down the name of four cities or places in the United States that have Spanish names.
- Name five famous Spanish speaking people and write sentences about their professions.
- Using UN/UNA write down 4 items you would take to the following places: beach, math class, a party, the gym.
- Write 20 words that start with the letter "-"
- Write down questions with the following words: What, Who, Where, When, Which, Why
- Translate the following sentences: ....
- Write the plural form of: the hand, my friend, our house, that pencil, this jacket, an orange ...
- Answer to the question What is the date today based on the information given - 11/22/2009, 05/12/2001, 01/01/01
- Write down 10 AR verbs and 10 ER verbs.
- Write down 14 colors.
- (in some of my cards I use pictures from magazines) Write a description of the picture (min. 10 sentences)
- Write 6 sentences comparing winter and summer.
- Write down the following numbers as words.
- Write sentences talking about objects in the classroom that are: small, blue, colorful, thin, interesting, Shiny.
- Write down 12 family members.
-Write down 10 sentences talking about things that you do everyday.
