TitleApplications Available for New Enhanced Assessment Grants
Body
The application for grants under the U.S. Department of Education's Enhanced Assessment Grants program is now available via the Grants.gov web site. The Enhanced Assessment Grants program is intended to support state activities designed to improve the quality, validity and reliability of academic assessments instruments. States and consortia of States are encouraged to apply for this exciting opportunity. The program includes a priority for projects focused on assessment of limited English proficient (LEP) students.

To access the electronic grant application, go online to the Grants.gov Web site at http://www.ed.gov/programs/eag/index.html , click on "apply for grants," then click on "download a grant application package" and search for the downloadable application package by the CFDA number (84.368).

Registration with Grants.gov is necessary for submitting an application, and this process can take several days. In addition, it takes time to upload applications via Grants.gov. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline date, and to carefully read Grants.gov Submission Procedures and Tips for Applicants, which is included in the application package and as part of the Frequently Asked Questions section of the program website.
