Title | Invitation from the Education Department of the French Consulate in Chicago |
Body | The Education Department of the French Consulate in Chicago would like to invite you to participate in a meeting for the promotion of French programs, connections and resources for K-12 schools to be held in Chicago on April 25th, 2008. With the help and feedback of all the partners involved in French programs in K-12 schools, in various capacities, we can draft a powerful advocacy that demonstrates the usefulness of French in the global economy. We will focus on: * the importance of the international dimension in education to help students compete successfully in the global economy * the added value of French in that context * the existing partnerships with France in the Midwest * Resources offered by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy to support French programs in the schools Feel free to suggest other items that you would like to see discussed on that occasion. Please RSVP by MARCH 15th 2008 if you will be attending and let us know if you will need lodging. If you are not able to attend, feel free to send a representative from your office or district.
