Now, thanks to a Connecticut tribe, they're being re-discovered. Getting a look at Native American life is easy at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum -- but what about a listen? The Mashantuckets are among 33 tribes in the Algonquian family to speak their own language. "It's really different comparing it to how we speak," Russel Foden of Westerly, Rhode Island said.
