| Title | Austrian Seminar: Österreich für junge Leute |
| Body | From http://www.aatg.org/content/view/452/1 A professional development seminar for teachers of German at the junior high, middle school and high school levels will be offered in Austria from July 6-19, 2008, with a focus on Austrian culture. The seminar is sponsored by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Art and Culture, in cooperation with the AATG. The seminar, conducted in German, will take place in Vienna and Graz, and these cities will be used as springboard for thematic content. Selected themes focusing on Austrian culture will be presented, using various styles of methodology and pedagogy, specifically tailored for instructing students in these age groups. The seminar will include lectures, workshops and individual research. Program costs, room and board, materials and a cultural program are included in the special seminar cost of $980 for AATG members, a substantial reduction from the normal cost. An additional subsidy from the Austrian Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs will be divided equally among AATG participants, further reducing the cost. The amount of the subsidy will be determined by the number of participants. All participants must be AATG members; participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the seminar site. A non-refundable administrative fee of $50 must be submitted with the application. Application deadline: EXTENDED to March 15, 2008.
