| Body | From http://www.actfl.org/i4a/pages/Index.cfm?pageID=4754 ACTFL Announces National Student Video Podcast Contest to Celebrate Discover Languages Month Contest Theme: Not Just a Language Class! This year the main focus of February as Discover Languages month will be encouraging students to reflect on the value of learning languages and the impact it has had on their lives. Participation is limited to students who are enrolled in a PK-16 world language class at the time of submission. Total video podcast length is not to exceed 2 minutes. Entry categories * Elementary School: Students enrolled in Pre-K through grade 5. * Middle School: Students enrolled in grades 6-8. * High School: Students enrolled in grades 9-12. * Postsecondary: Students enrolled in higher education undergraduate courses. Cash/product prizes are worth up to $500. Contest Deadlines: Contest opens January 14, 2008. The video submission deadline is February 15, 2008 or until the first 150 entries are received in each category, whichever comes first.
