www.isuma.tv is an internet video portal for indigenous filmmakers, with unique indigenous-language content available 24/7. Their goal is to help films and filmmakers reach a wider audience; help audiences see themselves in their own languages; help communities connect around common concerns; and help worldwide viewers see indigenous reality from its own point of view.

* Contemporary indigenous film collections provided by independent producers, groups and indigenous festivals around the world.
* New video uploads and internet TV by filmmakers, collectives and local indigenous community broadcasters at source.
* Unique LIVE-TV events, performances and 'you are there' experiences that harness the collective power and energy of Live TV to create humane communities of awareness and respect for indigenous reality in the 21st century.
* Priceless archives of Elders' stories and traditional cultural practices recorded since the 1970's to preserve these for future generations. Isuma.tv helps clean, restore, digitize and upload old videos whose irreplaceable cultural information is in danger of being lost forever.

For aspiring indigenous filmmakers, the National Geographic Society offers funding. The All Roads Seed Grant Program funds film projects by and about indigenous and underrepresented minority-culture filmmakers year-round and from all reaches of the globe. The program seeks filmmakers who bring their lives and communities to light through first-person storytelling. Submission deadlines are quarterly on the 15th of each March, June, September, and December. Award notifications are made approximately six weeks after each of these dates.
