Body | Workshop: Developing a Successful World Language/ESL Program for K – 12 teachers and administrators presented by Berty Segal Cook, World Language/ESL Author and Teacher Trainer 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Thursday & Friday, January 31 & February 1, 2008 Location: Tennessee Room, James Union Bldg (JUB), MTSU, Murfreesboro, TN see map http://www.mtsu.edu/cgi-bin/wwwscripts/map.cgi?a=n&b=JUB The seminar will have a whole-brain approach, using research-based techniques. Both days will be highly experiential, with participant demonstrations, followed by analysis. *Teachers will become students* and they will gain sensitivity by becoming a new language learner in Ms. Segal's TPR classroom. Participants will experience firsthand both effective and ineffective teaching techniques which will inform their teaching. Participants will receive: Resource handbooks full of valuable ideas they can use with confidence in their classrooms the next day; workbooks, sample tests, grid for assessment; and sample lesson plans.
