Body
From http://www.medusaexam.org

The Medusa Mythology Examination is an international competition for mythology enthusiasts. The exam is available to all students (regardless of enrollment in a Latin/Greek course) in grades 6-12. The exam provides students talented in mythology an opportunity to excel and be recognized and aims to increase students’ exposure to mythology.

The Medusa Mythology Exam is composed of 50 multiple choice questions centered on a mythological theme, which for 2008 is: “A Plague on Both Your Houses!” (The Houses of Atreus and Cadmus). Questions will focus on the stories and genealogy of the mythological royal families of Mycenae and Thebes and will cover characters and events from every generation of these two famously unfortunate families.

Top achievers on the exam will receive certificates or medals imported from Italy. The highest-scoring participants in the 11th or 12th grades can apply for several achievement award scholarships.

The exam, which is 40-minutes, will be administered during the week of March 24 -28, 2008. Registration deadline is February 16.
