Title | Idea for Generating Materials for Reflexives/Personal Hygiene |
Body | Here is an idea for personalizing materials for teaching reflexives/personal hygiene routines from an FLTEACH user: Last year, I brought in brand new (still in packages) props of things like: a toothbrush, deodorant, brush, nail polish, shower cap, shaver, shaving creme, makeup, hair gel...etc. I had students volunteer to have their pictures taken doing the reflexive action...i.e., shaving their legs, painting their nails ( a boy volunteered and it was red nail polish...hysterical!!!), brushing their hair etc... I had someone from our tech department come up during class time. As I taught my lesson, I would ask...who wants to volunteer to take a picture.. shaving (it was NOT opened...the razor was closed)? The volunteer would step out of the room and the tech guy would take a picture, the student would return to class and I would ask for the next volunteer... The pictures were printed in an 8x10 size and we used them as flashcards, story starters...etc. Freeman, M. FW: reflexives.
