Title | 'Doing What Works' Web Site Launched to Help Educators |
Body | From http://www.ed.gov/news/pressreleases/2007/11/11022007a.html On November 2, 2007, the U.S. Department of Education launched a new Web site to provide teachers, administrators and other educators with recommendations on effective teaching practices and examples of possible ways to implement those practices to help promote excellence in American education and improve student achievement. For instance, teachers interested in successful strategies for helping English language learners can watch a video of eight strategies that teachers at one school use to teach vocabulary. Lesson techniques, classroom scenes, student reactions, and graphic aids can all be viewed. The Doing What Works website is available at http://dww.ed.gov . |
