Title | Call for Proposals: Heritage Language Journal, Special Issue on Heritage Language Learning and Identity |
Body | The Heritage Language Journal invites proposals for its upcoming Special Issue, “Heritage Language Learning and Identity.” The Editors seek proposals that examine issues of identity among heritage language learners from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Topics may include, but are not limited to: attitudes and motivation, the construction of identity, identity in relation to language and/or cultural competence, age differences and identity, and the role of identity in heritage learning contexts. We welcome proposals from a variety of theoretical perspectives as well as case studies. Initial proposals are due by January 15, 2008, and should be no more than 1,000 words.
