Together, the operas, Das Rheingold; Die Walküre; Sigfried and Götterdämmerung take over 15 hours to perform and caused a sensation when first staged in Bayreuth, Germany in 1876. This website is linked to a stop frame animation whose aim is to introduce this seminal work to young people. It is available in English and German, and has two levels, one for 7-11-year-olds and one for older children; it also includes teacher notes.
