POSITION: Executive Director of the Center for Language Minority Education and Research (CLMER) with partial assignment as Project Director of Grants dependent on future grants. A primary responsibility of the Executive Director is to obtain funding through grants and contracts that will support and advance the work of the Center. The Executive Director is expected to promote educational reform for inclusive 21st century learning and teaching by demonstrating a commitment to advancing social justice and to the vision, mission, service model, and philosophy of the center. CLMER is a university based consultation, research, and training center serving schools and communities dedicated to improving education for multicultural communities. CLMER is dedicated to developing services and programs and engaging in inquiry and research efforts that are in line with the Center’s priorities of language rights, critical pedagogy, community learning theory, technology integration, anti-racist education, and family-school-community collaboration.
