TitleFrench Cultural Resources Online
Body
Here are some suggested online resources for teaching French culture from an FLTEACH user:

There is a FABULOUS website for the Grottes de Lascaux - I have used it with my Civilization class. The URL is http://www.culture.gouv.fr/culture/arcnat/lascaux/fr .

Depending on the level of your students, the BnF has some cool material on their site, including a really neat one about Zola's novel Au Bonheur des Dames and the world of the late-19th-century department store : http://expositions.bnf.fr/Zola/index.htm for the index of all Zola expositions.

Finally, the Mairie de Paris has an excellent site for the Musée/Maison de Balzac, with links to the Furne edition of the Comédie humaine (first collected edition) and several associated sites about illustrators, Restoration Paris, Balzac and the visual/plastic arts, contemporary mass culture for the first half of the 19th century, ... the list goes on and on. And starts here : http://www.paris-france.org/MUSEES/Balzac/collections/collections.htm
