To begin its 39th season, Boston Musica Viva will present MADE IN GERMANY II. It is the ensemble’s second program in their series of concerts exploring the music of today’s Germany. The concert will feature two German composers well known in Europe but still not widely known in America: Jörg Widmann and Detlev Glanert.

In addition, the ensemble will premiere a new work written specifically for this concert by renowned composer Gunther Schuller, his first for BMV. Also on the program is Paul Hindemith’s poignant song cycle to a text by the Austrian expressionist poet Georg Trakl.

Free Tickets! Boston Musica Viva has generously donated a small number of free tickets for their upcoming concert Made in Germany II. The tickets are being held at the Goethe-Institut Boston and will be available on a first come first serve basis. If you are interested, please contact Annette Klein at (617) 262 6050 ext. 11 or program2@boston.goethe.org to reserve tickets.
