Body | From http://www.ncela.gwu.edu/newsline/archives/2007/07/science_testing.html The Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) in Washington, DC, seeks a Science Testing Specialist to work as part of a project team doing research and test development in the area of science testing for K-12 English language learners. The project is focused on creating a computer delivered test that will be accessible to ELLs with a grade level understanding of science knowledge and practices, but with limited abilities to demonstrate their understanding on conventional science tests developed for native English speaking students. The successful candidate will contribute a solid work or educational background in science (chemistry, biology, or earth and space science) and elementary or secondary education to a team comprised of other science specialists, educators, linguists, Web designers, and test measurement specialists.
